Hypersonic Environments
The Hypersonic Environments team provides solutions to the Nation’s challenges in hypersonic thermal protection system design, analysis, and testing. Our core capability lies in hypersonic wind tunnel facility development, and end-to-end weather performance capability modeling and ground test qualification from new system CONOPS to flight test and mission execution Go/No Go launch criteria.
Advanced Materials
We develop material solutions for energy, defense, and aerospace applications with a focus on high-temperature materials and high-performance composites. This includes rapid prototyping and development of material processing systems; characterization using mechanical, chemical, microscopy analysis; evaluation and selection of materials; and failure analysis.
Ground Test Facility
We support design and development of cutting edge ground test facilities. With a focus in hypersonic ground test applications, our team designs challenging thermo-mechanical system and components to meet the growing needs of our nations ground test infrastructure. From requirement definitions and concept development through commissioning, we are involved in the full design and integration life cycles.
